With all the diamond simulants on the market, how is the Lannyte Company's Simulated Diamond superior?  Simply stated, our stone most closely resembles a diamond.  In fact, without performing a specific gravity test or examination under a high-powered microscope, even accredited gemologists have difficulty recognizing that our simulated diamonds are not natural!

     This incredible reproduction is achieved through several factors.  First, the refractive index (that which gives the stone its "sparkle") of our simulated diamonds is very close to that of a natural diamond.  Our stones have an approximate refractive index of 2.18 to 2.23, whereas diamonds have a 2.41.  By comparison, Synthetic Moissanite, priced considerably higher than our stones, has a refractive index of 2.65.  Furthermore, like diamonds, our simulated diamonds are singly refractive (synthetic Moissanite is double refractive). 

     Second, all of our gemstones, including the simulated diamond, are cut by hand to "ideal cut" dimensions.  This process is more expensive and time-consuming than machine cutting, but it produces a vastly superior finished gemstone.
